この街には、私の様にタイミングを誤ってしまい、帰国したくても戻れない者、この国に流れ着いて異国人と結婚した女性、一獲千金を夢見た渡り鳥の様な男、しがらみを背負った同朋男性を、働きながら面倒をみている中年女性、祖国の女性とは幸せになれなかった寂しい老人など多種多様です。

私が関わった商売だけを取り上げてみましても、フィリピン女性を追いかけて来た者、女性から呼び寄せられた人、行方不明になった奥さんを捜しに来た中年男性など、企業の出向者関係を除けば、それなりに難しい十字架を背負った人達の、市場の様な気配すら感じます。
